Big Sky Resort, located in the snowy southwest corner of Montana, has welcomed back Kate Ketschek and Revolution House Media, signing the company on as its public relations agency. Ketschek managed Big Sky Resort’s marketing initiatives from 1999-2007, before returning to the East Coast.
“It was perfect timing—we were looking for someone to spearhead our national and international communications and knew Kate was moving back to the area. Having a PR partner that already intimately knows the mountain, the Resort and our history, it’s the ideal situation, we couldn’t be happier,” said Big Sky Resort’s Director of Marketing, Lyndsey Owens.
“My heart has always been in Big Sky,” said Ketschek. “This is my third time moving to the community and I see it being the last—there’s no place like it. And Lone Peak, well, I haven’t skied anywhere else that compares. It feels good to be back home and I’m looking forward to teaming up with my friends at the Resort to continue to build momentum for The Biggest Skiing in America.”
With El Niño being all the buzz this ski season, Big Sky Resort combed through its 33 years of snow data collected at the resort, and noted ten of those years have been an El Niño year and 60 percent of those El Niño years have been above average or average snow fall for the Resort. Mid-mountain base depth is 36” and the Summit is reporting 54”. With all lifts open and over 2 acres per skier, now’s the time to experience The Biggest Skiing in America.
