Whistler Heli-Skiing opened for its 35th season today, providing skiers and riders with access to 432,000 acres of untracked terrain. Powder-lovers looking for the freshest tracks and big mountain terrain will have the opportunity to explore a selection of 175 glaciers and 475 runs exclusively accessed by helicopter. Guests can choose from three guided packages offering three, four or six runs suited for intermediate to expert ability levels. Vacation packages and semi-private options are also available.
“We can’t wait to get things going so we can share this unforgettable experience with guests for another season,” says Mike Sadan, General Manager at Whistler Heli-Skiing. “We’ve had a good start to the winter season in terms of snowfall so far and we are seeing excellent conditions in the backcountry.”
Whistler Heli-Skiing will be open from December 5, 2015 until April 17, 2016. Each heli-ski package booked with Whistler Heli-Skiing is led by a professional, certified guide and includes the use of an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel and backpack. All Whistler Heli-Skiing experiences are followed by an après in the Bearfoot Bistro Heli-Lounge where the friends and family of guests are welcome to join. Prices start at $959 CAD per person.
